I am mother to three sons and one daughter, one stepson, seven grandchildren and six step grandchildren. Making a total of 13 grandchildren. I have 2 greatgrandchildren, one step greatgrandchild and a couple of great grandchildren on the
way as of this date.
My husband and I enjoy riding his touring bike, he, way more than I.
My stepson is serving in Iraq for his third tour of duty. My grandson has just recently finished basic training and is currently getting his RIP training started and restarted.
I was born in Dalton, located in Whitfield County which is located in the great state of Georgia in 1943.
I have many interest including but not limited to: Daylilys; of which I have many. I also have lots of nutgrass which takes the pleasure out of gardening.
My husband hates any kind of gardening and will mow it all down once I'm out of the picture. He is my second and last husband.
I have three cats and three dogs. All of these animals are rescued animals with the the exception of my boxer who came to live with me after her master, my daughter-in-law passed
away.
I have been collecting family information for a number of years and felt it was time to put it in some type of format. The Scruggs family history is a challenge. I recently discovered no death notices were released to the newspaper when either one of my paternal grandparents died. There are no uncles and aunts living on dads side of the family. I am currently trying to local cousins that may have family photos. I am hitting a brick wall since mother and dad divorced when I was five or six and dad was mostly out of the picture. I don't know where to go from here in researching the Scruggs family . Mother remarried and lived in Fort Worth Texas for a number of years before returning to this area. She was a women that was ahead of her years. I, as well as my brother and sister were raised by my maternal grandmother, Josie Elrod Bramblett.
