I stumbled across the problem that I cannot retain the family surname of the bride in a marriage (like in a partnership): MyHeritage assumes that she will adopt the family name of the bridegroom, which is not the case as she keeps her family name
What can I do, or is it just impossible to record such?

Hi Melchert,
It seems the software automatically forces the bride to adopt the husband's name. It even adds things like Junior to the bride's name. In latin countries we keep two family names and it is even more complex.
By the way, do you know how to use someone already in the tree if this person happens to be linked back. I have found a few cases of marriage within the family (cousins) in my ascendency and this person is doubled instead.
