I am looking for information on James Philip Bourget (my great-grandfather), born in Alemeda, California in 1878, his parents are James (born in Canada, about 1840) and Caroline (born in Alsace, France, about 1850). Also any information on other family members connected to this family.
My Daughter (AriannaMcFarlin) recently had to do a project for school referring to her family history. Being a teen parent I, nor my ex-husband (MerlinMcFarlin), had ever given it much thought as to where we really came from.
But while researching I have found that her father's family last resided in Southern California. If you are a McFarlin decendant of (the late) Dardell and LucilleMcFarlin (This would be my daughter's great-grandparents), please contact me so that we may both further our research. my grandma just recently told me that her real fathers name was Manuel Delpino. All she really knows is that he has passed away and that he has 3 daughters and that he lived in California.
I did search on him on rootsweb.com and found one that was born and died in California that i believe is him. If i have the right one he died in Castro Valley California. He was born Aug. 24, 1920 and died October of 1975.
If anybody has any information on him or his daughters Please contact me I'm trying to find them for my grandma and also get things straight on my family tree.
