I am searching for any information on the late Mathew McElroy who was tried in the year 1816 Louth Co, Trial Place term 7 years , born around 1794 native place Dundalk Louth Co. Occupation Ploughman labourer. He came out to Australia onboard the vessel "Chapman" in 1817, He married a Sarah McGourin in March 2nd 1824 at St. Mary's Church Sydney by the late Reverand Thierry who I believe also came from Ireland.
