I am trying to see if there are any connections to other Sharps & Naylors in Lincolnshire to the family I have on my tree. I am referring to Harry Arthur Sharp b.1871 in Horncastle, who married Alice Naylor b.1875 from Frampton.
They had at least two children Robert Arthur Sharp b.1900 & Ernest Fred Sharp b.1909 both in Horncastle. Does this family line continue? Not sure after the 1911 census.
Apparently there are are other Sharps & Naylors married in Lincs from West Halton (Scunthorpe area). I am looking for a common connection if anyone has been researching either family. I have been in touch with one person, but as yet haven't found the magic link!
Richard Maidens was my 1st cousin 5 x removed, his father Richard b.1702, was my grt grand uncle, his father Richard b.1674 was my 5th grt grandfather.
My maternal grandfather and his family were from Lincolnshire (Brigg/Scawby/Winteringham). The men were mainly lightermen (bargemen). The family tree goes back as far as 1694 but I would like to know more about the people. My grandfather James Knott died in Hull 1952 so I don't remember him as he died when I was only 5 months old and my gran (his wife) died in 1956. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I've attached a photo of my maternal grandparents James Knott (1873-1952) and Rose Handley (1875-1956) they married in 1894 in Sheffield but moved to Hull soon after. Sorry for the poor quality of the photo but it is about 60 years old.

Hi Mark - I do have information about William Killelay. He was the son of Andrew Killelay and Emma Hills, was born in Bole in 1875 and died 1954, apparently in Bole. He married Ethel Bingham in 1918 and Eric was born in the Jan- Mar quarter 1919. Ethel died In the Apr-Jun quarter 1928.William's father Andrew was born abt 1847 in Galway County Ire. According to census records he was born in Athenry, but other family member information says Clarinbridge.Andrew's parents were William Killelay and Margaret Long, both from Clainbridge, Galway. They emmigrated to England about 1851 and lived in Bole. The men were agricultural laborers. They had several children,mostly sons.They were:Wm born abt 1841, John born abt 1843 both Clarinbridge Galway , Andrew, Thomas born abt 1851 prob Galway, James 1853 Bole, Maria 1855, Bole, Martin, 1857, Bole, James #2 1859 Bole,Michael 1862 Bole.
